Abstract

Renewable energy sources are small power plants that are connected to the distribution network. The aim of this work was to examine the influence of renewable energy sources on the quality of electricity, which is observed from the aspect of the microgrid. The review of previous research clearly shows that in addition to the positive impact of renewable energy sources on power supply voltage conditions, renewable energy sources can also have a negative impact onindicators of the quality of electricity, the most important of which are higher current (voltage) harmonics, flickers and voltage drops. The largest part of gridconnected renewable energy sources uses a large number of different power electronics devices. Such devices can significantly affect the normal functioning of the distribution network, causing voltage distortion. The electricity produced by the development of renewable energy sources is not as "clean" as with non-renewable sources of electricity, because due to natural changes the quality of electricity itself changes, which creates problems in the voltage network
of users.
