Abstract

Life on Earth arose and survived for millions of years thanks to favorable climatic conditions. The climate can be viewed as a renewable resource whose energy component is the energy of the sun, and the material component is the oceans as water reservoirs. The energy of the sun promotes the circulation of water on Earth and thus makes life possible. Where there is no water, there is no quality of life, e.g. in the deserts. Climate change on earth has reached such a level that we can speak of a climate crisis. The vision of getting out of that crisis is very clear and it is a return to less harmful energy sources. However, the lobbies advocating the continued use of fossil fuels and nuclear power are far too powerful in the energy market and there are currently no signs of slowing down the consumption of "dirty" energy sources. Such an approach could significantly change the climate in the future, and thus the life of climate-sensitive plants and animals would be threatened. Since all species live in a natural balance, this would affect the entire biological system of the Earth. To avoid such a future for the Earth, some countries have begun to encourage energy conservation programs and the transition to "clean" energy sources. Globally, for now there is no great progress in this, because the amount of energy obtained in this way is negligible compared to the energy obtained from fossil fuels and nuclear power plants.
