Abstract

COVID-19 pandemic brought a series of changes in all spheres of human life. The context of education, business, movement, socialization and daily life has completely changed, which posed a challenge to almost the entire population – both in the world and in Montenegro. During 2020, over 190 countries were forced to temporarily close educational institutions and start applying the online teaching model, which affected almost 97% of the world's student population. The aim of this paper is to identify the processes and challenges faced by the Montenegrin higher education system during the COVID-19 pandemic. The paper describes the implementation of a hybrid model of curriculum implementation at the University of Donja Gorica, as well as the implementation of additional extracurricular activities in changed conditions. The achieved research results are presented in the form of proposals and examples of good practice in the implementation of teaching activities, which can affect the redefinition and improvement of the curriculum.
