Abstract

Knowledge-based human capital is directed towards innovation, which makes products and services a new value. This highlights the constant need for training and development of employees through the impact on their knowledge, skills and abilities. Investing in knowledge and education is an investment in the future, which, as a significant economic resource, generates rapid and qualitative changes. In order to build human capital, it is necessary to define a development strategy within regional economic policy and in this context it is necessary to analyze a wide range of issues related to the links between employment, health, education, economy and sustainable development, all with the aim of highlighting knowledge as a necessary resource will enable economically sustainable development. The aim of this paper is to review the possibility of influencing and improving the link between knowledge and human capital on the one hand and the sustainability and strategy of regional economic development on the other, as an example of a more comprehensive approach to a sustainable future
