Legal protection in the public procurement procedure implies the possibility of protecting participants in the conduct of public procurement procedures, and provides them with the same legal status through which they can legitimately exercise their right. Legal protection ensures that several important public procurement goals are achieved. Performing public procurement procedures helps the contracting authority to purchase better quality products and services for a lower price. The result is more efficient spending of public funds, faster economic development, and greater competition among bidders. An organized and efficient legal protection system provides legal certainty in conducting public procurement procedures. We can also say that the application of legal aspects in public procurement leads to the emergence of legal protection of desired interests, which primarily relate to the determination of the type of trust, procurement efficiency, more efficient use of public procurement, frustration and so on. It is important to note that legal protection will stop the negative tendencies in the application of the Public Procurement Act and significantly reduce the illegality of the procedure.
