This paper deals with analysis of ITS solutions in function of improving urban mobility in cities, by exploring existing and new technologies which are going to be used in creation of smart cities. In addition, it is exploring how much existing and potential technologies with focus on ITS solutions can contribute sustainable mobility in those cities. Exploration of various companies and commissions prove those innovations are very efficient in overall cost reduction and environment pollutions. Goal of exploration is to present and to point on advantages of using new technologies in creating sustainable passenger transport system. Urban mobility is topic that is more and more popular today. There is a constant increase in the number of citizens, and therefore city expansion. That leads to series of problems: congestion, environment pollution, increased noise, dependence of fossil fuels. With every day, these problems are getting on their importance, but also there are efficient solutions for their removal. Systemic application of those solutions is necessary in all modern cities to solve mentioned problems. It is necessary that passengers can choose mode of transport from point A to point B, which is cheaper, ecologically acceptable and safer. By implementing ITS solutions, it is necessary to satisfy all passenger’s demands as soon as possible and create excellent ecosystem for smart cities in future.
