Within the framework of the Intelligent energy in Europe, a project of mass popularization and implementation of eco-driving was launched, as one of the cheapest measures of energy efficiency in transport. The goal was to save energy, reduce fuel consumption and reduce greenhouse gas emission. In Croatia, during the project, 500 short training of eco-driving were carried out for drivers of vehicles category B, which are trained to apply the rules of eco-driving. Training with driverswas conducted in a theoretical and practical part. The parameters of fuel consumption were measured and compared during the freestyle and ecodriving style. The results of the training show that an average fuel saving from 0.8 to 1.2 l/100 km was achieved. The given results and effects contribute to improving road safety, reducing fuel consumption, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and better quality of life. Thay are important for the implementation of standards of eco-driving in the program of training new drivers and the program of implementation driving tests, and for the implementation of short
training and training of drivers who already have a driver's license.
