Abstract

How do urban areas develop, comes to irreversible changes in the environment. Buildings, roads and other infrastructure are replaced open spaces and natural vegetation. Once permeable and moist areas, are become tight and dry. This development leads to the formation of the phenomenon of urban heat islands, which increase the heat in urban areas compared to rural surroundings. The effects of urban heat island primarily affect, the general health of the population and especially risky parts of the population that is much more difficult to adapt to changes. There is also a higher consumption of energy and other resources by the population. Indirect effects are numerous, such as the impact on agriculture, tourism, energy sector, water management and more.
