Abstract

Construction companiesin Balkan countries are still underutilizing newtechnologies. Inthis paper, we propose which new technologies they should use to achieve artificial intelligence thatcan provide them with more efficient, faster, and higher-quality construction. To implement artificial intelligence and ensure more cost-effective operations, construction companies must employ new technological solutions based on the Internet of Things, cloud computing, drones, and data storage. If they want to operate more affordably, construction companies should use drones and cloud computing. In this paper, we propose a more cost-effective way of data collection based on connecting machines, devices, people (IoT), and drones. The collected data must be updated in real-time in a data warehouse. This approach will provide construction companies with the artificial intelligence and knowledge necessary for more economical operations. Such a system can ensure more efficient work and a competitive advantage for any construction company that utilizes it. Here, we will also present a portion of the results of research conducted in 2023 in Balkan countriesregarding the implementation of new technologies in construction companies. Keywords: construction companies, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, cost-effective
