Most harmful gases, about 1/3 comes from traffic and 65% carbon monoxide, 45% hydrocarbons, 49% of nitrogen oxides. In Tuzla Canton environmental influences road, rail and air transport, which is developing swift work Tuzla international airport. The volume of traffic, in direct correlation with the quality of the environment. The biggest obstacle to normal life in the big cities are air pollution and noise. In the Tuzla region for public transport passengers use buses with 140 kW, the average occupancy of 50%. Passenger car has an average power of 40 kW, with an average of 1.5 passengers. The ratio of pollutant combustion in cars and buses expressed per passenger is very unfavorable for the individual transport vehicles. In order to reduce environmental pollution by exhaust gases and noise, it is necessary to take the following measures: reducing the number of passenger vehicles in total traffic flow, the introduction of stricter controls roadworthiness and exhaust gases, constant modernization and elimination of defects in the vehicles of public transport of passengers, continuous promotion of public transport and work to improve the relationship with the customers and application of legislation in the field of transport. In this regard, in Tuzla the first in Bosnia and Herzegovina have taken significant measures in the Company DD "Urban and suburban traffic" Tuzla introducing 60 buses on CNG gas in city traffic and so many buses in the city kicked out of diesel fuel.
