Abstract

Unlike the risk management (Risk Management), which includes an assessment of potential threats and finding the best ways to avoid these threats, crisis management (Crisis Management) involves dealing with threats before, during and after they occur. Crisis management is a specific dimension of the management of the organization, whose mission is to overcome all the processes that could significantly imperil or disenable future existence of the organization. Organizations now operate in an environment that is globally complex and systematic (i.e. the forces that act on the organization are highly interconnected and interdependent). Crisis management is a series of current, interconnected assessments or testing types of crises and forces that could represent a great danger for the main products of the organization, services, production processes, employees, environment and community. In addition, crisis management involves a series of design activities, redesign and implementation of key plans, procedures and mechanisms for detection, prevention, readiness, containment, recovery and learning.
