Traffic accidents with material damage are numerous on the roads of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The result is a constant engagement of police officials in charge of inspecting the scene of a traffic accident. In order to release the existing capacity and increase the efficiency of solving this type of accidents, it is necessary to introduce the implementation of traffic accidents reports. Important to note that the Road Traffic Law of BIH, this report covers the application, but in practice it is rarely used. The reason for this is the lack of promotion and explained the traffic accidents report. On the other hand, there has been a big step, and have adopted a uniform pattern of reports on road traffic accidents. Given this fact, the author of the report is to compare the analysis of the traffic accident report here and in the U.S. (Colorado). The subject of the analysis were all parts of the report. The result is a comparative analysis of the benefits of the comprehensive range of reports, as well as a number of disadvantages of the existing reports in BIH. The aim of the proposal is to improve the report on the accident BIH. In this way, it is possible to significantly ease the traffic police capacity and direct them to the places where they are most needed (traffic accident with serious injuries and fatalities), preventive and regressive effect on the improvement of traffic safety.
