The role and importance of the development of the transport system on the growth, development, employment and strengthen the competitive position has already been confirmed by the example of the intensive development of transport policy and the establishment of Trans-European transport networks in the Member States of the European Union. Their connections with the countries of Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe, and through them to the Asian continent and Russia has been gaining in importance. The current transition process, which takes place in parallel with the recovery of physical and institutional capacity as a result of armed conflict, has not yet led Bosnia and Herzegovina to the status of members of the European Union. Reforms are needed at the level of whole political, economic and social systems in the context of this work is particularly important transport sector. In this respect, the initial steps are related to the incorporation of the PanEuropean guidelines and objectives in the current politics of the national transport strategy and operational activities arising from it .
