Abstract

The transportation of passengers in the city traffic of the Canton of Sarajevo is one of the drivers of the economic development process, and therefore of the traffic branch. Since the problems have reached a critical point in the last 15 years or so, it is necessary to proceed with solving them so that the citizens of Sarajevo Canton have transportation that they deserve, similar to passenger transportation in the region and European cities. The problems encountered by transport companies that transport passengers in city traffic are the uneconomic price of transport, the lack of correct transportation vehicles in order to have the maximum use of them in real time. The subject of the research is the presentation and understanding of the concept and importance of urban transport in the Canton of Sarajevo, exploitation of technical indicators of the fleet from the aspect of road transport vehicle maintenance, and a new way of organizing urban transport in the Canton of Sarajevo. The work represents a concrete contribution to science in the field of road transport research, with a focus on solving problems in urban traffic in Sarajevo Canton. Objectives: in accordance with the results of the analysis, define the positive effects that will arise from better organization of urban transport in Sarajevo Canton, and the use of advanced technologies in the maintenance of the vehicle fleet. Conclusion: Defining the benefits with the new organization of urban transport in Sarajevo Canton, with a better organization of vehicle fleet maintenance.
