Abstract

The objective of this paper is to answer several questions related to managing the business data from a qualitative and security aspect. We present a methodology that aims to  identify the valuable data in the organization using data categorisation, metadata design,  cleansing and integration. Even though this process is very demanding, we present how decision making can be based on evidence. Also, we present how using the methodology for business data governance builds an adequate basis for implementation of new information technologies through digital transformation innovations.
