The Criminal Code of the Republic of North Macedonia, in addition to a Probation sentence, recognizes the alternative measure of probation with protective supervision as a special alternative measure. Alternative measure probation with protective supervision in the Criminal code of Republic of North Macedonia is stipulated as independent measure and the reasons for retaining this measure in our Criminal code were those that in the criminal legislations of certain countries the probation proved to be a positive experience, especially in the countries with the Anglo-American system. Subject of this paper is analyze of probation with protective supervision as a special alternative measure, justification of its imposition and the role of this measure in the prevention of criminality.
