Bosnia and Herzegovina (B&H) as a full member of international organizations (ICAO, ECAC), is obliged to implement international regulations (SARPs) in order to meet prerequisites and conditions for regular, efficacious and safe civil aviation traffic. Aspiring to become a member of EU, B&H has to adjust its regulations with EU ones, including the security related regulations. This implies that B&H has to bring into line its current Program of security of civil aviation from 2008 with EC document Reg 1998/2015, in a way that the State Committee security of civil aviation of B&H adopts the draft Program and then forward it to B&H Council of Ministers which is to make a decision on its adoption. Consequently, airports will also be obliged to adjust their programs with the mentioned regulations. This will be a move in respect of making preconditions for implementation of necessary security measures at airport, as well as fulfilment of the international SARPs, what practically means the airport will not be a weak link in the overall international system of civil aviation security.
