The EU's common traffic policy aims to ensure a sustainable balance between various modes of transport, the development of intermodality, the finding of a permanent solution to the problems of road congestion and the establishment of safety and quality of service in the center of its activity. Bosnia and Herzegovina needs to harmonize traffic policy with the goals of European traffic policy. This paper presents the possibilities and the way in which Bosnia and Herzegovina can meet the requirements of the European Union's Traffic Policy that promotes intermodality. The only way for Bosnia and Herzegovina to become part of the European Union's single transport system is to integrate supply chains through intermodal transport through a network of logistics centers. By adhering to the unique standards of transport infrastructure and transport means, Bosnia and Herzegovina guarantees unhindered management of the interface of various types of transport and their connection to a continuous intermodal transport chain. Therefore, it is trying to contribute at least partially to the improvement of the quality of the provision of transport services by promoting intermodal transport in order to improve the existing traffic situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, i.e. to bring the traffic to the level of quality that meets European requirements.
