Abstract

This paper explores the role of local media in the context of financial sustainability and green development. The aim of the research was to analyze how local media can improve their business models in line with the principles of sustainable development, with a special emphasis on the green transition. A combination of qualitative and quantitative methodologies was used, including case studies and a survey among local media. The results show that local media faced with financial challenges have the opportunity to diversify their revenues through green projects, digitalization and innovative financing models. The research also highlights the importance of institutional support and strategic planning in the media sector. These findings are significant because they provide concrete recommendations for strengthening the resilience of local media in the era of green transition, thereby contributing to broader social development.
