The definition of entrepreneur has evolved over time as the world economic structure changed and has become more complex. Risking, innovation and wealth rising are examples of criteria that were developed with the evolution study of the business creation. In this context, entrepreneurship is defined as the process of creating something new that has value by devoting the necessary time and effort; assuming the accompanying financial, psychological and social risks; and receiving the resulting rewards in the form of monetary and personal satisfaction and independence. Today's definition of entrepreneur emphasizes the concept of entrepreneurship from a personal perspective. Entrepreneurial profession is open, but not so easy to get in and start it. To be a successful modern entrepreneur, each claimant must have the ability to think of and plan business actions, have initiative and innovative thinking, to be a good organizer, to know how to motivate people, to know how to transfer responsibility with direct control, be patient, systematic and persistent. In optimal way must manage people, financial and material resources as well as information. The subject of research is to determine and analyze the characteristics of successful entrepreneur in the Tuzla Canton in response to the increasingly difficult situation in the economy in Tuzla Canton, which today represents a strategic advantage over other companies/enterprises that do not have a pronounced focus on business success.
