The EU is a community of 28 countries, which is based on: Common interests, institutions and their normative acts. The EU has its key features (single currency, common defense and security international politics). Organizational structure or its institutions are: the European Parliament, the European Council and the European Commission. The European Council is now less jednoglasnije decision-making and more on the principle of qualified majority. The European Parliament is gaining importance in the areas where the most competent and the same is with the European Council equal factor in the EU. The European Commission is the EU governments and the same has 28 commissioners. European Council 07.11.2005. adopted a decision on the start of negotiations with Serbia and Montenegro. Bosnia and Herzegovina 19.01.2006. adopted a platform for negotiations with the EU and a strategy for the European intergacije.Makedonija will begin negotiations with the EU as soon as you meet the conditions of EU membership. Albania by the US and EU urged to speed up certain reforms that are a precondition for NATO and the EU. Is the EU ready for the biggestchallenge in its previous history in the second decade of the 21st Ages or as they are also called "post-Nice-process" or will its importance in leading the world: foreign, bezbjedosne, defense policy have to grow in importance, or will be dead letter remains to be seen.
