Abstract

The basic prerequisite for the rational and efficient functioning of the transport system in one country represents development and adoption of a consistent transport policy. Traffic system must be managed so as not to get the character of stochastic systems, and we can only operate on the basis of strategy and policy, which is made by applying science and technology and in line with the level of economic development and society. The use of multi-modal transport system is a way of rounding off the necessary knowledge in the system of production - transport - distribution and introduction of freight forwarders in the process of a complete organization of multimodal transport is the road to the rationalization of transport chains. With its material character of transport provides normal functioning of productive and non-productive activities of the economy which makes his role in the development of a specific country.
