Abstract

The Travnik city in Bosnia-Herzegovina is a beautiful example of the natural and ecological lifestyle. Hungarian architecture traces in its structure culture, add another dimension to the town. People coming from monotonous cities are rehabilitated and relaxed while walking along the dwellings in green gardens away from air pollution accompanied with rivers and an unprecedented nature and low rise condominium and also due to no traffic jam trouble. Travnik is a unique town with its historical and ecological structure. It simply resists to the fast growing global world. It is only 90 km away from the capital Sarajova. The situation of the existing constructions, the physical debilitations in time, the impacts of natural factors, the high rate of moisture in the air, all caused deformations on the structures. By applying appropriate construction materials and qualified labor on the dwellings bearing historic fabric, the unique features of the town should be protected. The density of graveyards across the town influenced the culture and the structuring of the town while reminding people that the town survived a war. The main purpose of this work is to consolidate and protect the structures and the bridges bearing historic fabric in the town and by integrating the ecologic planning with them to bring the unique nature and the ecology of the town to the fore via economic resolutions and to raise the town’s energy.
