Abstract

Procurement as a key logistical activity in each organization can be seen through the prism of strategic and operational actions in securing the necessary resources for the realization of final products or services in the organization. The operational level of procurement refers to the process of direct procurement with its related administrative tasks, such as the collection of bids, the analysis of the bids and the selection of suppliers, as well as the execution of the procurement of the goods or services required. The requirements of modern management regarding the quality control management and excellence of the organization's procurement function, transformed the procurement process within the organizational process structure. The procurement process covers all activities related to the preparation and execution of the purchase, transmission, delivery, reception and storage of goods. The main goal of this project is to present a methodological approach of the procurement process modeling, which ultimately can have more functions depending on the type and size of the organization, as well as on the methods of organizing and performing the procurement activity with special focus on the manufacturing company.
