Abstract

The overall goal is to reduce all harmful effects with unimpeded traffic, is reducing the number and consequences of traffic incidents. In this paper traffic accidents were analyzed in the time period from 2011 to 2015. The data used in this paper are issued by MUP TK and BIHAMK. The paper consists research methods. The analysis pointed to the serious problems faced by participants in traffic for municipality and other participants, which refers to a very low level of traffic safety compared to European standards, under-developed road infrastructure that fit the requirements of a high level of safety of all road users, but also worrying data on the observed. Mostly affected by these accidents are young drivers, with speeding and alcohol abuse.
