The conditions of modern business require making quick business decisions regarding the adjustment of market conditions. To maintain a competitive position, it is necessary to make decisions that are sometimes difficult, but that would have the ultimate goal of further market development. Management of the organization is becoming more difficult task if one considers the process of market globalization. Based on these facts, the scientific paper deals with proving that the achievement of operational excellence and achievement of world-class products and services can only be achieved by continual improvement of quality of business organization. In addition, we explored the experiences of developing quality on an international scale, competitiveness of countries in transition, as well as the process of quality management in the countries in transition. Finally, the results of research that we have encountered during the implementation of this work have been summed up in the conclusion.
