Abstract

Planning and analysis of logistics systems is one of the most demanding activities in the logistics. The aim of this paper is to introduce the methodology of planning and design of the logistics center, and then showing its main components as well as view the many advantages and benefits provided by the construction of logistics center to the point of micro and from the aspect macrodistribution. As examples show three different types of logistics center: cargo center of Graz, urban platform Monaco and logistics park London. All three LC-serving exercise a certain area and in a very successful manner as described in more detail in the paper.
