Abstract

In accordance with the provisions of the Law on Traffic Safety on B&H roads, the European practice has been implemented into the legal system of Bosnia and Herzegovina in accordance with the Directive 2008/96/EC.This Directive involves establishing procedures which will provide conditions for designing and building safer roads.This relates to the procedure:Independent audits of projects from the aspect of traffic safety – RSA, and the procedure:Independent checks of existing public roads from the aspect of traffic safety – RSI.The obligations and responsibility of the road managers is especially emphasized in terms of the conditions of existing and construction of new roads. This paper presents one concrete check of traffic safety at the location of the junction on the main road M 16 Banja Luka - Gradiška - Section Aleksandrovac (Bakinci - Mrčevci junction)
