Abstract

By doing a preventive control of vehicles correctness we determined that a significant number of vehicles has faulty shock absorbers, which refers to reduced damping efficiency and asymmetry of the front and rear axle of the vehicle. Based on these finds and in dependency of shock absorbers’ condition an examination of vehicles’ breaking distance was done, and we determined that the correstness condition of shock absorbers has a significant influence on breaking distance value. At noted failures, with adequate diagnostics and control, we will have an insight to determine the means of maintenance to achieve more efficient breaking and moving of vehicles.
