The problem of road safety, as a traffic safety factor, is recognized among the professional public as one of the basic goals in the process of improving traffic safety. Improvement of capacity and road safety requires, in addition to high financial investments, planning and development of new models and approaches in order to ensure the safety of all road users. The formation of the traffic safety system is based on a detailed knowledge of the existing situation, as well as the formation of clear goals to be achieved. The traffic safety tools that are used to assess the state of traffic safety are extremely important in this, especially in the circumstances of road projects as well as traffic safety checks of the existing road.
