Abstract

The paper is described the importance and role of paratransit in the system of urban transport passenger (UTP). It is a system that has several forms and can be defined by several parameters, but in a large number of cities in the world it is gaining more and more importance in the UTP system. The paper describes this system with its characteristics, ie positive characteristics that lead to an increase in the mobility of the population in cities in the UTP system, ie to a decrease in the use of passenger cars.
