Abstract

The quality and unambiguity of communications are essential elements of air traffic safety. On one side there are technical-technological subsystems that enable the transfer and distribution of information of a given content and on the other side are people who create information, forward it and execute it. Despite all the improvements of certain subsystems of information transmission in aviation, voice communication occupies an important place in the communication culture and is the basis of Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC). Starting from the fact that the communication in performing operational tasks in civil aviation is in English, in this paper we will pay special attention to the specifics of learning Aviation English, the manner of assessing knowledge as well as the need for permanent refreshment and improvement of existing knowledge, all in the interest of increasing air traffic safety.
