The main impact of the global COVID-19 pandemic on the operation of the power system was reflected in the reduction of electricity demand and load redistribution in line with the economic and demographic changes that followed. Due to the demand for social distances, people mostly stayed and worked from home, which in the presence of students and distance learning leads to a consequent reduction in electricity consumption in industry and the service sector and leads to an increase in household consumption. In addition, there is a significant reduction in electricity consumption energy in large urban centers and increases in rural - less populated areas, due to the relocation of people from urban to rural areas. The paper presents an analysis of the consumption of a specific distribution area, at the foothill of Vlašić, with a pronounced potential for the construction of the so-called "Weekend estates" or settlements that would be suitable for life in the event of a pandemic. The specificity of the subject area is reflected in the great potential for the construction of small HPPs, where so far 8 SHPPs have been built and put into operation on the same. The paper presents a computer simulation of the operation of the subject area in the case of increasing and maximizing the load with parallel operation of eight small HPPs connected to the subject network. For the calculation and analysis, a model of the subject electricity distribution area and connected small HPPs was developed using AEES software, which was done in the Qt / C ++ development platform and developed under its own direction by Prof. Dr. S. Đekić and I. Prša, IUT graduate, for needs of analysis and calculations carried out at the International University of Travnik, in Travnik, in the field of Power Engineering.
