Abstract

With global population growth and greater industrialization in developing countries, the population's need for energy is increasing daily. Having in mind the modern problems of
increasing electricity, we can say with certainty that we must not abandon any existing energy source, although some of them certainly have a bad impact on the human environment in the long run. The problem of balancing the supply and demand of electricity will be a growing challenge in the future in order to avoid negative consequences for industrial existence. The paper will present the problems faced by EU member states and countries in our region regarding the lack of electricity needed for supplies and electricity prices that occurred during 2021 and 2022. Also, potential ways of solving problems with the desirable use of renewable energy resources will be pointed out.
