Abstract

In this paper the environmental aspects of the air traffic system are disscused. Starting from the fact that there is no environmentally friendly mode of transport, we will analyze the challenges of developing air transport taking into account the interdependence of its parts: aircraft, airport and air traffic control system. This paper deals with the (growing) needs for transport in the form of development scenarios as well as the way of meeting needs, with the desire to minimize negative impacts (noise, emissions, waste) , as well as the main challenge of planning the development of the air transport system..
