Abstract

The aim of this research is to present the data on the environmental status assessment in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in order to ensure greater participation and involvement of the scientific, professional and wider public in the processes of environmental problem-solving for sustainable development, ie the responsibility and duty of environmental concern to all those who affecting the environment, from the legislative through the executive, to the enterprise, the individual, the citizen, the culture and the relation of all of us to nature. The most important segment of access to this issue is the need to incorporate environmental obligations into all development and strategic documents of the sectoral policy, as this integration is at the same time one of the instruments, but also the underlying principles and goals of contemporary environmental protection and sustainable development practices. The result is the priority measures that must be taken to protect the environment, dialogue, participation, ie prevention for development and the general survival of civilization
