Abstract

Although for successful companies, designing a reverse logistics network is not a binding option, it can provide a range of economic and strategic advantages through recycling and reuse of products and provide an analysis of the entire productive process of a particular product. The integration of reverse and forward logistics represents a harmonization of product recovery strategy to the strategy of procurement of new products. This is the case when companies use the returned products as a source of spare parts. The production realized in this way makes it a special form of production, known as reproducing. As procurement models and organizational forms of the purchasing department directly affect the procurement efficiency, their adequate choice is crucial for the business success of the company. In this paper we presented the model for optimization of the remanufacturing process from the aspect of procurement of parts, that maximizes total profit from sale of remanufactured products and products made up of new procurement parts.
