Abstract

This paper presents findings of a case study conducted at Varna Free University (VFU). Knowledge management solution has to optimize the processes of development, dissemination and storage of knowledge at the Institute of Technology. Knowledge management (KM) has increased its importance as a management tool. KM includes the process of capturing, creating, disseminating and applying all forms of knowledge within an organization in order to fulfil some organizational goals. Proper software solution for implemention and a structural model of Knowledge Management System are suggested. The focus is to connect people, processes, and technology for the aim of leveraging knowledge. The success of this project depends on the active participation of the whole team of the Institute of Technology. After evaluating the benefits of the proposed software solution, potential for improvement could be sought.
