Abstract

The aim of this paper is to point out the need to understand the importance of using patent documentation in production, as an important instrument in market competitiveness. The paper points to the place of patent documentation in the intellectual property management system of the company from the aspect of information provided by the patent documentation to the management as well as engineers and all entities involved in the creation of a new product needed by company. Also discussed is what belongs to the intellectual property that some company may have and a way of dealing with created intellectual goods.
