The purpose of this paper is to show how innovations in logistics are needed, faster and more influential in business than ever before according to the growing number of challenges and problems that the logistics sector currently faces. Logistic companies that want to remain competitive in the logistics market need to continuously monitor innovations in logistic business models, technology and best logistics practices that have proved to be very successful due to changing macro environment, micro environment and consumer behavior. The presented work focuses on the expansion and research of existing concepts of business models in logistics and ways to innovate them. In addition to business models, the focus of this research work is on defining and presenting innovative logistics practices and exploring, summing up and describing the most influential technological innovations in the field of logistics. The research has shown that innovation in logistics contributes greatly to improving efficiency, continuous delivering of better logistics services and leading to economic, social and environmental sustainability.
