The paper analyzes the contribution of knowledge of the strategic management process to the successful management of an entrepreneurial venture. Special attention is paid to the process by which managers formulate, implement and evaluate the success of the strategy. Regardless of the fact that the strategy is the result of the planning process, in which the organization's management plays a key role, the values of the strategy often arise from the very depths of the organization, where rational planning is the very starting point of strategic management. The paper considers the needs for appropriate formulation and implementation of the strategy, as well as its evaluation, primarily in terms of the application of advanced technologies, the pursuit of a green transition and sustainable development.
