Abstract

The business goal of every manufacturing company is to achieve satisfactory product quality. In the new industrial revolution, the goal is to control and manage the process constantly, on line, in order to prevent possible bad pieces. In the assessment of process quality, the statistical method “statistical process control SPC” is often used. The input for each assessment, analysis, improvement, control is the result of measurement, so before conducting the SPC study, the adequacy of the applied measurement system for a specific measurement task should be analyzed. A very effective method for determining the variability of a measurement system is the study of repeatability and reproducibility GR&R. In this paper, these methods are demonstrated in a case study in order to assess product/process quality.
