Abstract

The number of taxi stands as well as their spatial distribution on the territory of the city have a great influence on the accessibility, i.e. the availability to users of taxi transport of passengers. The locations of taxi stands on the territory of each City are determined by the City Council of the City. In order to determine the optimal location and number of taxi stands in an area, the paper proposes a methodology for determining the location and number of taxi stands. An analysis of the location and functionality of taxi stands was performed on a case study in the territory of the City of Leskovac, and based on the conducted research, a methodology proposal was made for determining the optimal number and capacity of taxi stands with the function of spatial distribution of taxi stands in an area.
