In the transition economies in countries of South East Europe the role of innovation is the key for developing new products and services in accordance with the requirements ofthe global market, and it is important for improving economic competitiveness as well as improving quality of life. The survey, which was conducted in Canton of Tuzla, in B&H, aims to determine innovation of organizations (companies), to determine which innovation audit these organizations have and how it can be improved. Innovation audits were related to dimensions of "strategy", "process", "enterprise organization", "connection" and "learning". Realised survey was conducted in twenty companies in different industries. Results showed that the in ranking from 1 to 7, total innovation audit for companies in Canton of Tuzla is 4.66. What companies have in common is that their relative success undoubtedly has largely come as a result of innovation. Their competitive advantage is created as a result of investment in intellectual capital, primarily learning and the ability to dispose with necessary funds. Menagement of companies in Canton of Tuzla is aware of the new dimensions that exist in times of recession, and that is "to be better than competitors”. These reasearch imposed conclusion wich shows that the only investments wich Bosnia and Herzegovina can implement in this for her severe crisis, refers to the sphere of education, human resources and innovation.
