Abstract

The paper deals with the problem of the emergence of a Legionnaire disease, which represents a serious pneumonia infection caused by the inhalation of Legionella pneumophilia bacteria or other species of Legionella. This bacterium often appears in domestic, hotel and other water systems or in water used for air conditioning and air conditioning systems. For this reason, special attention should be paid to the bacteriological correctness of the system of indoor plumbing The disease was first detected in people who attended the hotel conference in the United States in 1976. Legionary disease affects mainly adults and about 10% to 15% of healthy people who are infected with this disease die every year, despite the appropriate antibiotic treatment. Therefore, the main intervention against these conditions-prevention, through the control of micro-organisms in water systems. Through a widespread media campaign, the public is becoming increasingly aware of legionary disease, specific risks associated with travel and hotel stay, and the view that early preventive action should protect the population of the risk of infection.
