Traffic is one of the most important elements of the economic and social development of a state. However, with modern traffic development (infrastructure and road construction), the impact of traffic on all elements of the environment (air, soil, water) has deteriorated significantly. Many of these pollution directly endanger the health of humans, but also the animal and plant life. It is known that most of the elements that make up an integral part of traffic have the greatest impact on the environment, with the construction of roads. This impact is intermediate and immediate. Immediate because we are changing the natural environment by building a road. Modern roads due to their appearance intensely damaged the image of our nature. Due to the diversity and specificity of the territory through which the roadway passes, the protection and monitoring of the environment are of great importance during construction, use and maintenance. Since it is impossible to completely prevent the harmful impact of building modern roads on the plant world, it is necessary to plan the construction of roads to minimize the consequences. In this case we will give a review of the harmful impact of construction of roads on the environment and protection measures as one type of prevention.
