One of the candidates for membership in the European Union is also Bosnia and Herzegovina. Some of the conditions that candidate countries need to fulfill in order to join the European Union, in legal and economic aspects, are the guarantee of economic stability and respect of human rights. When we talk about economic stability then in this part the task of candidate countries should be in the sense of achieving economic growth and competitiveness of companies.. The legal aspect which is directly linked to respect of human rights and fundamental freedoms, pursuant to the European Convention on Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, is the right to a trial in a reasonable time period. Therefore, the research idea of this paper is how to achieve economic and legal stability, precisely for the reasons that those are the conditions which candidate countries need to fulfill in order to join the European Union. In relation to the aforementioned, the content of this paper shall point out the idea of corporate management as a system which enables the creation of more favourable economic environment for the companies, and as such is one of the positive examples to be used for the potential economic growth and increase in the competitiveness of the companies. From the legal aspect, the concept of the right to just trial, as one of the segments of human rights respect from the European Convention on Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms shall be defined. The respect of the right to trial in a reasonable time period represents a basis for a timely decision-making in courts, which is in the interest of legal stability.
