Traditional ways of improving road safety, based on accident and its consequences. Such a method is not popular in the world, because it involves an analysis of traffic accidents on the basis of the number of casualties in traffic. To this way of improving traffic safety lifted to a higher level, it is necessary to pay special attention to the existing methods and procedures for recording the characteristics of road traffic accidents. This paper describes in detail the methods and procedures of recording characteristics of road traffic accidents. In addition, a comparative analysis of domestic and international experience in terms of investigation documentation and regulatory requirements governing this segment. The aim of paper is to present an efficient way of recording the characteristics of road traffic accidents, in order to carry out the investigation of accidents and improved to enable more efficient and quicker resolution of legal disputes. Concurrently, the easier the job of traffic safety experts, we get precise and accurate information on the traffic situation that has contributed to the making of a traffic accident.
