Abstract

Sustainable development is a multicultural dimension that departs from the principles and different dimensions. A process that must be open and dynamic, based on the principles of fairness and accountability. Development that fulfills this principle is durable, sustainable, capable of future development. Principles of sustainability need to be installed in all aspects of development policy, political objectives at the local and global level, especially in the transport policy as an integral part of the general economic policies. Sustainability is a double binding: towards future generations and towards nature. In relation to man,  sustainability means the quality of life for present generations and the sustainability of the quality of future generations. Sustainability in relation to nature is the operationalization of pointers and rules relating to nature and natural resources.
