Abstract

An increase in the use of seat belts is one of the most important measures to reduce the risk of serious injury or death of participants in road traffic accidents. Problem of the use of seat belts in the middle and low income countries is very strong, resulting in a higher rate of difficult people and killed on the roads. In this regard, the Republic of Srpska was performed first, systematic field research and use of seat belts on the roads in 2012. The research methodology consists of two parts. The first observation was performed of all passengers in the vehicle, then used the questionnaire method for drivers who have previously been observed. The specificity of this methodology lies in relation to observed and interviewed the
driver, allowing precise analysis of attitudes and their actual behavior on the roads while driving. This paper presents the results of an analysis of attitudes on the use of seat belts in the territory covered by the Public Safety Center Doboj.
